Amy T. Rose, M.D., FACS was born in Virginia and received her undergraduate education at Virginia Commonwealth University.

Dr. Amy Rose performs laparoscopy in General Surgery. She conducts patient examinations at our Johnston-Willis and Chippenham locations.

Medical Training

Dr. Amy Rose received her medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. She completed a General Surgery internship at State University of New York, Stony Brook, followed by a four year General Surgery residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where she served as Chief Resident. She then completed a Research Fellowship in Surgery at the University of California, Los Angeles, followed by four years in private practice in Biloxi, Mississippi. She is a Diplomat of the American Board of Surgery, a Fellow of the American Board of Surgeons, a member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons, and a member of the Clinical Robotic Surgery Association.

In her leisure time, Dr. Rose enjoys diving, hiking, and healthful gourmet cooking.
