Dr. Aman Banerjee was born in India and grew up in Stamford, Connecticut. He completed his undergraduate education at the University of Richmond in 2005 and his medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine in 2009. He resides in Chesterfield County with his wife and two daughters.
Dr. Banerjee is board certified in general surgery. He completed his surgical residency at University Hospitals Case Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio in 2016. There he completed two years of research in trauma and critical care outcomes and has 10 peer-reviewed publications. He was awarded the Dudley P. Allen and Richard B. Fratianne scholarships for research.
He performs all aspects of general surgery. He has special interest in gastrointestinal surgery, hernia surgery, laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgery, colon and rectal surgery.
Dr. Banerjee is now accepting patients at our Waterford office near St. Francis Medical Center. He will be performing surgeries at Bon Secours, St. Francis Medical Center and CJW Medical Center’s Johnston Willis and Chippenham campuses.
